Change is hard. Moving on is harder. And quitting can feel almost impossible, especially when there is no solid plan waiting on the other side. But I have always believed that the lack of a credible option<\/em> should not be a reason to remain in the same place. Sometimes, cutting ties and walking away is itself the first step forward. Once we are free from the commitments, expectations, and constraints of where we are, we may be able to see the next step more clearly. The path does not always have to be visible before we decide to leave the one we know is no longer right for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps that is what makes change so difficult. Even when the current situation is bad, it is still familiar. We know what to expect, we know how to navigate it, and in some strange way, we have learned to tolerate it. There is a certain comfort in familiar suffering. It may not be happiness, but at least it is predictable. The unknown, on the other hand, brings anxiety. The next chapter has no guarantees, no familiar boundaries, and no certainty that things will actually get better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet sometimes, staying simply because the alternative is uncertain comes at a cost. We mistake familiarity for stability and tolerance for acceptance. We wait for a perfect plan, a guaranteed opportunity, or a clearly visible destination before taking the first step. But life rarely works that way. Sometimes you have to create the space first, let go of what is holding you in place, and trust that clarity will come with movement. You don’t always need to know exactly where you are going. Sometimes, you just need to be willing to leave where you no longer want to stay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
